What is so charming about all things vintage?


It's that nostalgic feel about it. It's that impression of history that a certain item has, and we'd like to be a part of it, or better yet, we'd like us to be a part of it. Just as important, we'd like to be able to tell how old that piece is, where it has been, and who had it before us.

Although it's a matter of taste and opinion not everyone is attracted to vintage things but prefer the more contemporary elements of our time.

But what's in a vintage piece? 

Wouldn't it be grand if there's a tragic love story involved? ---Not that we're morbid. Maybe a hair-raising adventure, then? Or even a mysterious and exciting ghost story! Now, that's a conversation piece winner, definitely.

Jewellery, apparently, is a popular vintage item to own. Simply because it's what most people keep for long as valuables and eventually handed down to a kin or a friend. It's also small therefore, easy enough to keep and look after. 

But, don't stop there. There are millions of vintage inspiration out there to own if you are really into it. The more stylish you would know  which is the next great piece that would adorn and compliment your person.

'Tis that time of the year again!

You can make a compounded list of the all reasons why you loathe it but there is absolutely nothing you can do to stop it coming. For everywhere you turn, in the streets, shops, workplace, a friends' home, the media, a blaring reminder is staring right at you... It's Christmas (or the equivalent of it in your persuasion).

But what can one not love about this season? When everyone appear to be more cheerful and everywhere is bright and colourful?
There is that particular buzz in the air that seem to affect almost everyone no matter what their inclinations are.

No matter what, let us look beyond the material things and feel the more profound meaning of this special time. Extend that joyous feeling to everyone within our radius and make someone light hearted. A simple greeting and acknowledgement can do a world of wonder to anyone, even a stranger.

Kitty Galore!

Kitty enthusiasts rejoice!

There's really only one theme this month of February -- and I need not remind anybody. Some looks forward to it, while others couldn't care less. Daisy Chained

                           

Pardon the pun but, I really can't help tweaking the name of this bracelet. I hope it evokes a smile. 

As the white daisy symbolizes purity I decided to contrast it with the colour red which represents fire. The resulting combination is striking but what the two item really have in common is that they both represent LOVE... and that's what this month of February is all about.
